Welcome!

New Arrival
Now available on the JNF YouTube channel: a recent interview/seminar in Kurdish, marking the Artemis launch on April 1, 2026: “NASA, ARTEMIS, AND HUMANITY'S JOURNEY INTO SPACE”

The renowned Kurdish scientist and engineer Ardashir Rashidi Kalhur from East Kurdistan/ Rojhelat speaks with great enthusiasm in the JNF interview and in the KAES seminar. We recommend that those who do not yet know him take this opportunity to get to know him.

Dear Visitors!

Dear friends of the Jemal Nebez Foundation!

What a wonderful addition to our JNF Online Scientific Seminars, perfectly in keeping with the spirit of Jemal Nebez, who had such a keen interest in the starry sky and the universe, see his 1972 article on a Kurdish lunar observatory, which was built in the second half of the 18th century by the Kurdish scholar Huseyn Glezerdiyi in Southern Kurdistan and of which only a remnant remained after it was bombed by the Iraqi Baath regime!

What a beautiful memory for us, especially now, at a time when we continue to hope that sooner or later, at the next opportunity, a democratic, pluralistic constitutional state will emerge in Iran—one that, based on its federal constitution, will finally grant the non-Persian ethnic groups in the country the freedom they need to develop their culture and language and to enjoy their social distinctiveness in freedom—Azadi. And in which women and their supporters no longer have to shout “Jin-Jiyan-Azadi,” but can already live in freedom.

Hope is permitted and essential

We can’t go on without hope. The situation that has prevailed worldwide since February 28 of this year is such that it is still impossible to predict the future.

Hope is a form of resistance

Some remember well how it all began in the spring of 1979, 47 years ago. The Shah’s regime had collapsed, and he and his family had already fled the country. Shortly thereafter, the Shah’s popular rival, Ayatollah Khomeini, returned from exile to his homeland accompanied by a number of supporters, including Palestinian leader Arafat, where he was greeted by massive crowds cheering his arrival. The catchphrase-like vision of the future known as the “Islamic Republic” had not yet taken shape. Iran was not yet firmly in the hands of Ayatollah Khomeini, who at that time had no actual organization to speak of, only a committee at his side.

Jemal Nebez is always up to date

In those days, Jemal Nebez wrote the concluding remarks to his lecture—which ended on February 28,1979—entitled: “The Persian State Unity Party: Its Rise and Fall.” In the conclusion, he asks how his contemporary Khomeini had come to terms with the then-current decline of the Shah’s regime, and whether he had drawn lessons from it for his own project. Apparently not. Otherwise, the Islamic Republic he spearheaded would have permitted various political parties and ensured that their diverse voices would be heard—a prerequisite, as Jemal Nebez notes, for the project’s success.

New E-Book, the text of which was written by Nebez in 1979

We are pleased to announce that we have just published this text as an e-book, see New Books / Projects. Unfortunately, it is currently available only in German—the language in which Jemal Nebez wrote it. We would be happy to authorize the translation of this text into English, ideally with one or more sponsors. It is a valuable, highly informative text that not only focuses on the period since the founding of the Rastakhiz Unity Party (founded on March 2, 1975), but also places this party within the broader context of the history of political parties and organizations in Iran since 1906, when constitutionalists in Iran forced the then-absolutist Qajar Shah to establish a parliament in Iran.

We are non-profit and legally capable.

Let us remain optimistic! May the most beautiful days of the year lie ahead of us, full of color.

Here in the gallery below we show some books and writings of our namesake, which are listed on his former website  www.jemalnebez.org which is now administered by the Jemal Nebez Foundation.

If you have a not yet listed writing of Jemal Nebez in your possession, please let us know, gladly via our contact form. The goal is a comprehensive directory of the works and writings of our namesake. Any help is welcome.
